Dr. Underwood of IAI wins award from the Journal of Educational Technology Research & Development

Dr. Jody Underwood, Senior Learning Scientist in the Division of Education and Training Technology at IAI, is the recipient of the 2014 Outstanding Reviewer Award for the Development Strand of the journal Educational Technology Research & Development. Dr. Underwood has been reviewing manuscripts for ETR&D since 2008. The award will be formally announced at AECT 2014 in Jacksonville in November (see Dr. Underwood will attend the Joint ETR&D board meeting at the conference to receive the award. The award is given each year to one reviewer who provides exemplary timely and constructive comments to authors. Jody earned a Ph.D. in Science and Technology Education from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology in 1998 and an M.S. in Computer Science with a specialization in artificial intelligence in 1987. Dr. Underwood was a postdoctoral scholar at Vanderbilt University’s Learning Technology Center, an Educational Technology Researcher at The Math Forum, an online K-12 math resource center, and a Development Scientist in R&D at Educational Testing Service before joining IAI in December 2010.
