IAI to develop an Intrusion Detection System based on Leaky Coax technology for the U.S. Air Force

The Air Force requires a new Line of Detection (LOD) functionality to augment its existing human intrusion detection systems to protect assets on flightlines, launch facilities, and weapon storage areas. IAI and Senstar, Inc. are working to develop an intrusion detection system that will detect the presence of intruders crossing a designated restricted area containing important resources and assets. This system will detect people walking, running, crawling, and jumping, and vehicles traveling at a variety of speeds. The IAI intrusion detection system will possess a low probability of false negatives or nuisance alarms and will not detect people or vehicles 1.5 meter outside of the detection line. Systematic testing will be conducted in this program to assure that the system operates effectively in a flightline environment and in all weather conditions.
