ROCKVILLE, Maryland – February 29, 2016 – Intelligent Automation, Incorporated (IAI) announced today that its Strategic Technologies and Transitions (STT) Division has been appraised at Level 2 of the CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)®. The appraisal was performed by Business Transformation Institute, Inc. CMMI® is a capability improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance. An appraisal at maturity Level 2 indicates that IAI is performing at a “managed” level, where projects have ensured that processes are planned and executed in accordance with policy. The projects employ skilled personnel who have adequate resources to produce controlled outputs, involve relevant stakeholders, are monitored, controlled, and reviewed, and are evaluated for adherence to their process descriptions. The Strategic Technologies and Transitions (STT) Division of IAI manages selected projects that are considered of strategic importance to IAI’s business growth. Critical programs that are currently managed under the STT Division include the Auto-ScanTM and Metrosim projects. Auto-ScanTM is an inlet and exhaust damage registration sensor system being developed for the United States Air Force. In the Metrosim project, a decision support tool is being developed under NASA sponsorship to manage arriving and departing air traffic at large metroplexes such as the New York metroplex.
