Senior Director, Networks and Security
Dr. Li is IAI’s Vice President of Research and Development and Senior Director of IAI’s Networks and Security group and has been instrumental in growing IAI’s research portfolio in networks and cyber security. Since joining IAI in 1995, in his various roles as principal investigator, director, and Vice President, he initiated and directed several R&D programs related to efficient protocol design and development for satellite networks, realistic and repeatable wireless networks test and evaluation, moving target defense, cyber situational awareness, attack impact analysis, airborne networks technologies and complex networks. He has published his research in over 30 conference and journal publications in the area of communication networks, network protocols, network security, and multi-agent systems. Today, Dr. Li is focused on the transition and productization of IAIs network and cyber technologies to the government programs and the commercial sector.
Dr. Li received his B.E. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Tsinghua University, China in 1993 and 1996 respectively, and his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park in 2002, majoring in communications and computer networks. Prior to joining IAI in 2005, Dr. Li was at Hughes Networks Systems, Germantown, MD.
