As Vice President of the Signals and Systems Division, Dr. Bachrach manages the research and development of the sensing, signal Processing and robotics groups within IAI. His current research is focused on vision-based automated systems for target identification and tracking, specialized steerable laser range finders, robotic systems for physical rehabilitation, and RF-based real-time location systems. In the area of tool-mark analysis and comparison, he is among the first researchers to develop unique tools for topographical analysis of bullets, cartridge cases and other tool-marks of forensic relevance. This patented technology pioneered by Dr. Bachrach has been licensed to the largest worldwide supplier of bullets and cartridge cases evidence analysis systems.
