The pace of change at IAI is accelerating. Our objective is to be and to be seen as a mature R&D organization.
I am pleased to report to you that we are succeeding when measured against our principal benchmarks in this maturation process: 1) the development of routines supporting skilled staff to facilitate transition of our research to fielded applications, 2) recognition of IAI as a significant player in the scientific and engineering communities in which we participate and the markets we enter, 3) continued excellence in our work, 4) continued support from our clients, 5) significantly increased internal investment in product development, all of which is reflected in 6) continued growth of our firm.
In 2011, our 24th consecutive year of growth, we stepped up the pace of providing end-users with IAI technology, through licensing and other devices. We executed agreements in areas as diverse as robotics, perimeter security, network emulation, educational technology, and mHealth. Building on our strong research foundation, our focus on avenues to end-users will only grow in the years ahead.
As this is written in the spring of 2012, we have entered our 25th Anniversary year with great confidence in the future. We anticipate revenues of $27 million this year, and we have recently completed yet another facility expansion, now to 30,000 sq ft. Our outstanding staff is expected to grow to over 130, with 60% of us holding Ph.D. degrees. Because what we do is at the cutting edge of technology, and because we do it well, with respect for our clients and appreciating that everything we do begins with their ideas and their programs, we have every reason to believe that our future is bright.
