H eadquartered in Rockville, MD, Intelligent Automation, Inc. (IAI) is a technology innovation company. We specialize in providing advanced technology solutions and R&D services to federal agencies and corporations throughout the United States and internationally. IAI’s core areas of research and development include Air Traffic Control, Multiagent Systems, Sensing and Communications, Networks and Security, Signal Processing, Robotics and Electro-Mechanical Systems, and Education and Training Technology.

Our research efforts are executed across its three business units: the Distributed Intelligent Systems Division; the Sensors, Signals, and Systems Division; and the Education and Training Technology Division.

Our focus is twofold: 1) to develop technology from the conceptual stage to fully functional prototypes and products and 2) to transition our technology to Government programs and industry partners who have a strong position in the targeted marketplace.

Our research is supported by a cross-disciplinary team of over 120 research scientists and engineers with backgrounds in aerospace engineering, computer science, cognitive science, education, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, and robotics.
