AI is well along in its planned transformation from a company exclusively centered on research, to a company whose research leads to high quality products and productized services offered to public and private sector clients. Most often, the avenue for IAI product development and distribution involves partnerships with companies well positioned in specific markets. We increasingly see our world as one in which our leading edge research, in itself valuable, finds its reflection in the daily operations of our customers.
Key products based on IAI technology include a state of the art 3D ballistic analysis system developed and marketed by Forensic Technology Inc. (see www.fti-ibis.com) which will be used by investigative agencies and forensic laboratories worldwide; our intelligent literacy tutor GradAtions®; our resistive exercise system originally developed for NASA and now being adapted for physical rehabilitation; our assistive learning device, TalkTiles, being developed in partnership with Laureate Learning Systems; our intelligent agent infrastructure products OpenCybele and CybelePro for software developers; Distributed Control Framework (DCF) for control of team of unmanned systems; MACARM for rehabilitation services; WIRELESS-FENCE for asset protection; and our non-destructive tools currently in development for testing aircraft wiring.
Commercial products are not the only way IAI technology is deployed. Our breakthough technologies are also finding their way into major government programs as "productized services," often in conjuction with first tier integrators such as BAE Systems, Honeywell, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon to name a few.
