IAI employees and family members spent a beautiful summer day picking blueberries and blackberries at Homestead Farm in Poolesville, MD. The children enjoyed feeding the goats and visiting with the other animals on the farm, and, as some stained t-shirts seemed to indicate, sampling a few ripe berries as they picked.
After berry picking, some of the group headed down the road to Sugarloaf Vineyards for an afternoon picnic and wine tasting. The fine weather, good company and delicious local summer offerings made it a memorable day for all who participated.
