Last month, IAI participated at the 38th IEEE Digital Avionics Systems Conference (IEEE DASC 2019), a forum for free discussions of new ideas, research, development and applications in order to stimulate and inspire pioneering work in the field of digital avionics and related areas. This year’s focus was to explore how AI and machine learning can be applied effectively to various aspects of Air Traffic Management (ATM) to improve safety, capacity and performance. IAI’s team wrote “Simultaneous Traffic Management Initiatives: the Double Delay Problem” and won the award for Best in Session! The paper topped entries from MITRE Corporation, Eurocontrol, and other industry leaders.
