ROCKVILLE, Md. — Dec. 17, 2019 — Intelligent Automation, Incorporated (IAI), a technology innovation company, announced today that it has been awarded a contract by the Defense Health Agency (DHA) to create an artificial intelligence (AI)-based clinical decision support system with automatic image recognition for dermatology differential diagnosis for situations where network connectivity does not exist.
In this contract, IAI will create a deployable, stand-alone smart phone system designed to enhance diagnostic accuracy, aid therapeutic decisions, and improve patient safety. The application will employ deep neural networks-based automatic image recognition for diagnosis, and enable field medics and general medical officers to practice at a skill level greater than originally trained.
IAI’s digital healthcare team creates mobile apps and sensors to gather, and analyze data from patients outside of the clinical setting. IAI’s technologies in medical informatics are used by researchers and practitioners to improve patient outcomes by monitoring patient performance, improving adherence, and providing timely interventions throughout a patient’s healthcare regimen.
