IAI wins contract to develop a capability that rapidly and automatically reconfigures protected IT assets in response to an ongoing cyber-attack.
High value IT assets, such as endpoints, servers, and devices, are under continual attack. This research will focus on one potential reaction to an ongoing cyber-attack and provide the ability to reconfigure protected, complex, multi-tiered applications.
The focus of this program is on reconfiguration in the infrastructure of the application. The goal is to use multiple methods to make the protected asset’s attack surface rapidly unrecognizable, possibly moving the application, and forcing the attacker to go back to square one in planning their attack. High degrees of automation will be used to minimize the administrative burden of the capability.
