IAI Awarded U.S. Army Follow On Contract to Develop a System to Use Metadata from Remote Sensors to Improve Situational Awareness

ROCKVILLE, Md. — Jan. 9, 2020 — Intelligent Automation, Incorporated (IAI), a technology innovation company, announced today that it has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Army to continue to improve situational awareness from remote sensors by using artificial intelligence (AI) models to annotate sensor data with metadata that can be more readily queried and transferred across communication networks.

In this contract, IAI will use AI models to create metadata for remote sensors and imagery to provide necessary information to users. Maximizing the use of metadata allows minimal information to be transmitted across tactical networks. The metadata will be designed to maximize accuracy of query responses and situational awareness information for the given mission.

“IAI is proud to have been selected by the U.S. Army to improve situational awareness and optimize network utilization with AI-driven metadata,” said Vikram Manikonda, President and CEO of IAI.

IAI is a leader in the research and development of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies, including text, video, and sensor data analytics. IAI develops AI/ML-based products and customized solutions to address government and industry needs in application areas such as full motion video analytics, prognostics and diagnostics, and natural language processing.
