ROCKVILLE, Md.—December 18, 2019—Intelligent Automation Incorporated (IAI), a technology innovation company, announced today that it has been awarded a contract by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) to develop a quantum-safe blockchain to preserve mission-critical enterprise data during catastrophic physical attacks on the United States.
In this contract, IAI will develop a resilient blockchain framework using new techniques leveraging quantum-resistant encryption schemes to distribute and protect data. The solution will be resilient against attacks such as nuclear/electromagnetic pulse (EMP) or cyberwarfare attacks or scenarios in which large-scale weapons of mass destruction (WMD) would endanger the survival of most DoD information systems. IAI will demonstrate data integrity through responses to sudden physical compromise, cyber compromise, and distributed denial-of-service attacks.
