ROCKVILLE, Md.—December 18, 2019—Intelligent Automation, Incorporated (IAI), a technology innovation company, announced today that it has been awarded a contract by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) to continue to develop a solution that will enable the automatic identification of open scientific publications that pose dual use concern.
In this contract, IAI will use advanced deep learning and natural language processing algorithms that identify and extract information across multiple sentences to detect the possible misclassification of DURCs. The tool will evaluate life science publications for information about fifteen high consequence pathogens and seven experimental categories. Proper screening for DURCs will help identify information that may pose a threat to public health and safety or the environment.
