ROCKVILLE, Md.—January 17, 2020—Intelligent Automation, Incorporated (IAI), a technology innovation company, announced today that it has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Air Force to continue development of video surveillance agents to detect and analyze human activities and events from aerial videos.
In this contract, IAI will continue to develop a video-analytics framework to reduce the time required for manual review and annotation of surveillance videos. The solution will use self-learning agents to detect various types of human activities while autonomously attending to image content at different spatial, temporal, and/or semantic scales. IAI will conduct a feasibility and trade analysis to identify the best theoretical development path and model choices, and then develop a proof-of-concept prototype that can detect human activities from overhead.
“IAI is proud to have been selected by the U.S. Air Force to support its research related to aerial surveillance operations,” said Vikram Manikonda, President and CEO of IAI.
