ROCKVILLE, Md.—April 23, 2020—Intelligent Automation, Incorporated (IAI), a technology innovation company, announced today that it has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Navy to cluster and label decision and sub-decision tracks as plans in an artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled game and attempt to improve explainability.
In this contract, IAI will develop a game solution using AI to recommend plans consisting of a set of clustered micro-tasks that lead to the achievement of a specific objective. AI algorithms have been shown to produce near-optimal solutions and larger sets of strategies than humans. An understanding of decision tracks leading to differing solutions/strategies will provide an advantage given different mission states. IAI’s solution will help to identify how AI is making decisions and better informing users on decision-making tasks.
“IAI is proud to have been selected by the U.S. Navy to advance AI for decision making and mission planning,” said Vikram Manikonda, President and CEO of IAI.
