ROCKVILLE, Md.—May 18, 2020—Intelligent Automation Incorporated (IAI), a technology innovation company, announced today that it has been awarded a contract by the Department of Homeland Security to develop a distributed sensor protection platform that is resistant to spoofing and data manipulation.
In this contract, IAI will prevent false sensor data from being pushed upstream to operators, analysts and decision-makers. Targeting different types of spoofed GPS data, IAI will also recommend mitigation strategies. IAI’s battlefield-ready sensors will be able to operate in rugged or tactical environments.
“IAI is grateful to support the Department of Homeland Security’s efforts to improve the resilience of distributed sensor systems,” said Vikram Manikonda, President and CEO of IAI.
IAI specializes in developing advanced sensor systems for military, transportation, and medical applications including RF-based location and tracking systems. In developing this technology, IAI will leverage its extensive experience and intellectual property in FPGA-based, high-performance, software-defined radios and prior IFF transponder research to enable rapid prototyping and validation of the design.
