IAI Awarded U.S. Army Contract to Reduce Latency and Increase Scalability of Mobile Networks for Live Training Systems and Simulations

ROCKVILLE, Md.—May 26, 2020Intelligent Automation, Incorporated (IAI), a technology innovation company, announced today that it has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Army to develop a radio communications solution to facilitate advanced simulation capabilities such as real-time direct and indirect fires, interaction with virtual entities (controlled by both live participants and constructive simulations), and streaming of virtual terrain data.

In this contract, IAI will ensure that data exchange between the cloud and the point of need is quick enough to accurately simulate real-world military operations. Training systems will require high-bandwidth, low-latency transfer of information to facilitate advanced simulation capabilities such as real-time direct and indirect fires, interaction with virtual entities, and streaming of virtual terrain data. This technology will improve the quality and efficacy of training simulations.
