ROCKVILLE, Md.—May 26, 2020—Intelligent Automation, Incorporated (IAI), a technology innovation company, announced today that it has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Army to develop a radio communications solution to facilitate advanced simulation capabilities such as real-time direct and indirect fires, interaction with virtual entities (controlled by both live participants and constructive simulations), and streaming of virtual terrain data.
In this contract, IAI will ensure that data exchange between the cloud and the point of need is quick enough to accurately simulate real-world military operations. Training systems will require high-bandwidth, low-latency transfer of information to facilitate advanced simulation capabilities such as real-time direct and indirect fires, interaction with virtual entities, and streaming of virtual terrain data. This technology will improve the quality and efficacy of training simulations.
“IAI is grateful to support the U.S. Army’s efforts to improve communications for battlefield training and simulations,” said Vikram Manikonda, President and CEO of IAI.
IAI develops RF network components at each level of the communications stack from the physical layer, to network protocols, and through applications. IAI’s technology enables the most advanced mesh networks and dynamic frequency hopping methods to ensure optimal data distribution. Deep learning -enhanced neural networks facilitate real-time spectrum co-existence, beam forming, and signal classification in small form-factor, low-power systems.
