ROCKVILLE, Md.—August 31, 2020—Intelligent Automation, Incorporated (IAI), a technology innovation company, announced today that it has been awarded a contract by NASA to develop a coprocessors subsystem for high performance space computing (HPSC) applications.
In this contract, IAI will develop hardware, software, and development toolkits to support space-deployable mission systems. The integrated HPSC-compatible coprocessor will be used in future NASA missions to support vision-based algorithms for extreme-terrain landing missions, model-based reasoning algorithms for vehicle-health management systems, high-rate instrument data processing algorithms for radars, and autonomous mission planning algorithms. The solution will also be used for non-NASA applications including embedded computer vision systems for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), remote sensing, satellite imaging, self-driving cars, robots, and assistive devices.
