ROCKVILLE, Md.—September 30, 2020—Intelligent Automation, Incorporated (IAI), a technology innovation company, announced today that it has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Air Force to develop an airborne infrared signature and atmospheric measurement system for testing and evaluation of infrared search and track sensors.
In this contract, IAI will measure dynamic airborne aircraft infrared signatures in the midwave and longwave infrared bands as well as the atmospherics from near the sensor to the target. The target IR signature will be quantified as a function of target airspeed, throttle position, afterburner, skin condition, target aspect, treatments, and more.
