IAI Awarded U.S. Air Force Contract to Develop a System to Detect DeepFakes

ROCKVILLE, Md.—April 14, 2021—Intelligent Automation, Incorporated (IAI), a technology innovation company, announced today that it has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Air Force to develop a system to detect DeepFakes in image and video data. The resulting solution will have high commercial potential for both defense and commercial markets.

In this contract, IAI will develop a cutting-edge technological solution to provide intelligence decision-making support to the U.S. Air Force and other defense agencies. AI-generated fake videos grow more convincing as DeepFake technologies advance, and the proliferation of these videos has profound implications for the public, government, and media market segments. This work, while providing innovation of high value to the Air Force, will also address the need for solutions that can be brought to both defense and commercial markets in a short timeframe and at a low cost.
