ROCKVILLE, Md.—April 22, 2021—Intelligent Automation, Incorporated (IAI), a technology innovation company, announced today that it has been awarded a contract by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) to develop a fully-automated geolocation system to estimate cross-view image similarity for the purpose of estimating geographic location from still imagery and video.
In this contract, IAI will develop a system that utilizes still imagery and video data to produce digital representations of topographical features and label the features according to type, without any human intervention. This system has high commercial potential within defense agencies as well as commercial markets in cartography, survey, and land use development.
