Chujen Lin, Ph.D.VP, Research & Development,
Senior Director, Sensing & Communications


As Vice President, Research and Development and Senior Director of IAI’s Sensing and Communications group, Dr. Lin leads and manages IAI’s research in the areas of wideband communications and radar, software defined transceivers, location tracking technologies, sensor networks, and modeling & simulation. Since joining IAI in 1995 he held various leadership positions at IAI, and has led several research efforts in the areas of design control and communication systems for industrial applications including unmanned ground/air vehicles, rotorcraft, submarines, reusable launch vehicle, machine tools, scanning probe microscopes, and automobile component test equipment. Dr. Lin has authored several papers in major international conference proceedings related to control, automation, and system design.

While Chujen was at University of Maryland, he developed an interactive optimization-based design tool for Rotorcraft Flight Control Systems called GIFCORCODE for NASA Ames which evolved into CONDUIT®, a software tool for conducting aircraft system identification and flight control system design optimization.
